How to create SMS correctly so that they stick together correctly?
Here is what the bank support service answered the question why I receive SMS with the wrong amounts on my phone:
Good afternoon!
This problem is the result of a combination of several factors. The fact is that in the SMPP protocol, only 1 byte is allocated for the identifier of a multipart message, which allows the phone to determine only 256 different long SMS. If the phone receives two parts with the same message ID, the phone glues these parts together. If a given subscriber has heavy traffic and a lot of SMS, consisting of more than one part, then sometimes it turns out that when sending different messages with the same identifier through different channels, if the identifiers match, we observe a picture of incorrect gluing of SMS by the device.
Sincerely, SDM Bank
