How to create shortcuts for switching languages in Ubuntu?

On windows, I used PuntoSwitcher for the sake of an elementary feature - turn on the English language but by pressing the left ctrl, Russian - by pressing the right one.
Is it possible to replicate this functionality in Ubuntu?
