How to create an android app using Zxing library?

I can't find an article on the internet creating an android application using the Zxing library. I read a lot of such articles https://habrahabr.ru/post/199258/ , but I need to create one without intent. Does anyone have a book or video for this. I'm new to Android Development and Java, so it would be better to have an article with drawings on Android Studio. Thank you very much in advance!

Do you really need zxing?
Google vision is also good at barcodes.
