How to create a virtual encrypted disk?
Good
afternoon Tell me how to create a virtual encrypted disk?
Everything is planned to be synchronized to the cloud
Yes, I know that there are ready-made programs, but a slightly different principle is needed, and a combine is not really needed.
That is, a program is needed as simple as possible (in terms of load)
The principle of operation is
There is a folder, for example C:\ Cloud
We start it in the program, a virtual disk is created, for example S:\
When accessing S:, files are transparently encrypted and this is done on the fly, and not by creating a separate encrypted copy of C:\Cloud somewhere on the disk
. For example, if there is a C :\Cloud\123.txt then S:\123.txt is an encrypted copy of the file (moreover, it is encrypted in memory, nothing needs to be stored on disk)
Well, the reverse functionality, we specify a folder with encrypted files, a virtual disk is mounted and the files are decrypted on this disk, again in memory. You don’t need to rush to decrypt everything at once.
I hope I described everything accurately
. Thank you very much for the hint, it’s just that the whole Google climbed (maybe badly)
I found only one ideal solution that I would like to see in the end - encf4win with the reverse key, but there the level of encryption is not quite ice already
