How to create a virtual disk on Linux?

I have an Ubuntu VM in VirtualBox.
question - how to create a virtual disk on it? Or is it already there somewhere?
then how to perform some actions with it, for example, copy it to a remote host?

If Ubuntu'a is running from somewhere, in an installed form (not a LiveCD), then it is installed somewhere. And if so, then there is obviously some kind of disk on which it stands?
If you need to copy the entire operating system, along with settings, etc. crap, this is usually done through specialized software, such as dump .
Depending on the format in which the disc was created, different programs can work with it. Some of the formats (I won’t tell you exactly, but it’s not difficult to find), is supported even by Windows itself, natively.
