How to create a static copy of a site?

Reading the history of failures with hosters on Habré, I thought about keeping copies of my sites in static mode (in other words, a static copy of the site with all the content)
Is there any way without involving third-party services? Own VPS - so there are no restrictions

There are 2 approaches:
1. the simplest caching to a web server (set up in 5 minutes)
2. an approach called Static Render. This is a fundamentally different approach to development and in this case tools like Gatsby are used.
