How to create a sidebar in laravel?

How to create a sidebar in laravel where categories and latest news will be displayed in short widget type. I tried it through
View Composer and didn’t understand how to make queries to the database and then pass them to the view, I tried it through view: share, it only works, I don’t like what it passes to all views, but I only need the sidebar.
