How to create a file with scss/sass extension?

I'm starting to learn SASS, I want to add it to the project, but I can't create a file with the desired extension. Usually I created all files (php / html / js, etc.) in Notepad ++, where you can select the necessary extension, but scss / sass is not. What and how to create it?

write by hand. when saving a file or creating a new one, after the dot, prescribe the desired syntax: sass or scss. like this name.scss.

Now you can change the extension of any files.
