How to copy the contents of some quotes in vim and paste them into others?

Good afternoon.
Recently I watched a video, and there the author said that in vim visual mode is used only by 10%, and I use it by 50.
Let's say there is a line:

<li><span class="day">Monday - Friday</span> <span class="divider">-</span> <span class="time">8.00 -

You need to copy day to span.divider.
What I do is go to day, press yi", then go to divider and press vi", then p, paste.
At the same time, divider gets into my register.
I feel like I'm doing it all wrong.
How do you copy and paste?
