How to copy text in the terminal and paste it in the default Midnight Commander text editor?

Good day!
I am using Putty to access a Debian machine. Interested in how you can copy the text in the terminal to the clipboard and paste it in the default Midnight Commander editor?
Thanks in advance!

Yes, everything is also good at copying and pasting, but my advice to you is to abandon putty in favor of xshell for home, it is free and without functional limitations, and in addition to it from the same manufacturer via xftp to transfer files to the server. he himself recently abandoned the putti + winscp bundle, while everything pleases especially the profiles in xshell

To copy / paste into the terminal, you need to press Shift + Ctrl + C and Shift + Ctrl + V, respectively.
