How to copy a part of a schema in eagle?

I am making a cnc controller, and there are 3 independent channels. They are all the same, so I would like to make one and just copy it, but eagle either breaks the connection of the schematic to the wiring, or forces the components to be re-arranged, or writes that changes can only be made in the schematic. Is there any way to beat this?
