How to convert page order and position in PDF?

Hello, I have a task: there is a PDF file of the book (1 page = 1 real page). It is required to distribute them at 16 pages per sheet for printing in booklet format, i.e. the first sheet should have pages 1 to 8 and (n-7) to (n) and so on. Are there programs that can do this automatically?

Along the way, the TK changed a bit. But I still solved the problem like this:
1) The source turned out to be DjVu, overtook it through the standard Print To PDF to a PDF file
2) Through Acrobat 11 Pro I printed a document in PDF, with a 3x3 grid per sheet
3) I printed the resulting PDF already on a real printer as a brochure (via Acrobat). I sewed the result with a paper clip and got a 24-sheet notebook with a book of 400-something pages.
