How to convert m4a to mp3?

I buy music in itunes, put it on an sd card to listen in the car, but most of the tracks are not played due to drm protection.
Is there any application that will go through all the folders of the sd card and convert to mp3 without drm?

Foobar2000 via the "Convert" operation. You just need to add the LAME command line encoder for this.
