How to control webcam in linux system?

To begin with, I have a CNR-WCAM43G1 camera . When I try to take a picture, I get this picture:

* the picture was taken using the adobe flash plugin

Question: How to set up (how to set up) my camera to eliminate differences with windows?
PS Preferably a non-GUI program like alsamixer.

In what program and with what parameters are you taking the picture?
Through the vlc player, try to connect to the camera, in it you can look in what format the camera is working.
