How to connect via network to the HP-M127fs MFP?

There is an HP-M127fs MFP.
If the PC (Win) is on the same subnet with it, then the network connection to the MFP is normal. It is located by itself, is located by MAC, is located by IP address.
If the PC (Win) is on a different subnet (without NAT) - that's it, it is not seen by IP address, although it successfully pings.
Am I a krivorukov or is this such a marketing ploy by HP?

Is the gateway specified in the network settings of the MFP?
