How to connect to OpenVPN?

I have .ovpn configs, how can I connect with them to the server? (I put it in the config folder, turned on Private Tunel, nothing works)

Where did they throw it? What did they throw?
What OS? What client are you trying to use?
From the command line
openvpn --daemon --config /path/to/file.ovpn connects everything fine, for example.
What Private Tunnel and where did you turn it on, and most importantly, why?

If on Windows, then:
Drop into the OpenVPN / config folder, launch the OpenVPN GUI, right-click on the tray icon, click "Connect"
If there are several configs, a choice of one of them will be given.
