How to connect to a database from ionic?

Let's add that I have a website hosted.. blog.. (and there is registration and authorization) how can I connect to the database (example get all records)

If by the word blog you meant WordPress, then look towards the WordPress REST API. It appeared a year and a half ago, like - the ability to make something like a REST server out of WP. And from ionic in any convenient way, contact and receive data - log in and so on.
