How to connect server to alcatel lucent omniswitch 6200?
Good day, gentlemen! Please explain to the teapot the solution to the problem. There is a server on Win Server 2016 with a two-port network card. The first network card "looks at the subnet 192.168.2.0-255. The second at 192.168.1.0-255. The first one works through the HP switch subnet 192.168.2.1-255 and everything is in order. But 192.168.1.0-255 is connected to the "alcatel lucent" switch omniswitch 6200" and the links are not going up either on the network or on the switch. And the network icon informs that "the network cable is not connected". However, when I turn on the intermediate switch between them (hp 1810-24G 24 x RJ45 J9803A), then everything works. Why Windows and Alcatel do not see each other without an intermediate switch?

Perhaps on Alcatel the port speed is forced to gigabit, and on the server the network card is 100Mbps. Then the link will not rise.
I mean, for example:
Alcatel: Force 1Gbit
Server: Max 100Mbit.
And when you put a switch between them with automatic port speed negotiation, the port in the direction of the Alcatel rises by gigabyte, and in the direction of the server by 100Mbps, and the connection rises.
I can't think of any other reason
