How to connect power to the USB 3.0 controller and card reader?

Hello!
There is a PCI-E USB 3.0 controller with a Molex connector for connecting external additional power and a card reader with USB 3.0 ports, also with a connector for additional. nutrition. How to properly power these devices when connecting the card reader with a USB 3.0 cable to the controller so that these USB ports on the card reader work normally?
I see three options:
