How to connect local database (ORM, Entity Framework, LINQ) in Windows 8.1 Store App (Desktop/Tablet)?
Hello!
I'm new to the world of Windows app development, so please help me figure out if it's still possible to use a local database in a Windows 8.1 app?
I read and tried several tutorials on using a local database in Windows 8 applications like LINQ and EntityFramework. But at the moment nothing works under Windows 8.1. Either "assembly does not exist in this namespace", or packages from NuGet are not installed, swearing at the version of the project. SQLite also fails to bind. Yes, and Microsoft has already translated all the documentation for Windows 10.
Who can tell which way to go? Either migrating the project to Windows 10 or is there some lightweight library that brings database functionality to Windows 8.
Thanks!
