How to connect .htaccess to reg.ru?

My hosting and domain are on reg.ru. I know how to work with .htaccess , but I can't figure out how to include it there. I throw a well-written .htaccess in the main directory of the site, but it does not work. How to solve it?
Maybe there is some other way to issue a redirect? Tell me please.

Contact reg.ru technical support and ask if it is possible to use .htaccess for the site.

So just upload it to the server next to index.html, etc. There the server will already configure everything correctly.
