How to connect HDD for high speed reading files?
Hello. I sat reading various topics about the speed of reading from the HDD, there is a lot of information, but that's what I did not understand. My disks are mounted
/dev/sdb1/ /media/hdd4 ext4 defaults 1 2
I understand that you can add parameters here, but I don’t understand why add them instead, instead of defaults?
I found this example
/dev/sdb1/ /samba/Files1 ntfs rw,nosuid,nodev,noatime,big_writes,allow_other 0 0
but this is under NTFS. That's the question.
1. Do these functions specified during mounting (rw,nosuid,nodev,noatime,big_writes,allow_other) affect the read speed?
2. What should I add when mounting to improve reading speed?
