How to connect express server to nuxt application?

There is an application on Nuxt, it will work on the server in SSR mode. It took him to do the processing of the form and the admin panel, respectively, with authorization.
Now I just put express on a different port and they live in parallel, communicating with ajax. But I suspect that this is the wrong solution and that express needs to run nuxt itself. But I don't know how to do it. I have never been a backend, so do not throw too much sneakers. :)
1) Tell me, if possible intelligibly and in detail, how to put nuxt on the server.
2) I would also like the addresses of ajax requests to be relative and not change when moving from a local server to a combat one.
