How to connect browsersync to an already running server?

Hello! I am using the gulp broswser-sync plugin and I need to run the server and watcher separately. I don't understand how to connect to an already running server and get browser-sync to work.
If you restart browser-sync when calling the watcher, then another server is created on a different port.
