How to connect an iPhone so that its file system (including photos) looks like an external drive?

In the full version - this is only possible with a jailbreak, then you really see the real file system, folder structure and all components.
Only photos and videos - as already mentioned, it is already defined as an external drive, but without the ability to record and edit (just pick up data).
All other programs and applications are, roughly speaking, crutches, an imitation of the file system. I personally use dropbox on all devices, this is enough. Otherwise, applications work in a sandbox, roughly speaking within their own folder, and therefore cannot provide a full view of the entire file system.
