How to connect a laptop to someone via htc desire s?

For some reason, I lost my home wifi router.
But I have a htc desire s communicator, through which I want to distribute wifi internet to a laptop.
The scheme is as follows:
Stationary computer => USB thethering => HTC desire S => wifi => Laptop
I activated the connection to the computer via USB and WIFI hotspot on the communicator. There is internet on the communicator. The laptop caught wifi and connected to it, but there is no Internet on the laptop.

Question: What is the problem and how to do it?

There should be one thing, either USB-thethering or wi-fi.
And yes, the phone only distributes its own no with 3G-EDGE if it's in thethering mode. No other way.

There is a solution here. But I don't like it very much.

My Incredible S worked for 2 weeks as a router, receiving Internet from a regular reverse USB tethering and distributing it through a regular WiFi router. There was no root. Everything worked. Maybe a problem with the routes on the computer from which the Internet is distributed? And I had a problem that with Win7Starter, the Internet stopped being transmitted very often: when immediately, when after half an hour or an hour, sometimes it didn’t fall off for a long time. Temporarily solved by turning off/on the reverse tethering mode. Everything was decided when I started distributing the Internet from a working laptop with Win7HomePremium.

Why not do it in the opposite direction, that is, connect the Internet to a laptop and distribute from it to a large computer.
In this scenario, there are no problems at all.
Or buy a wifi keychain at the nearest stall, why all these difficulties.
