How to configure the server to return 404 status if there is no image in the folder?
The problem is that the site uses retina.js, which checks for @2x images via an XHR request. If the status returned is less than 400, then everything is OK. But the problem is that my local server returns status 200 anyway. I just can’t find an article that would calmly describe how to set it up correctly so that the correct status is returned. Help me please.
p.s. I'm using apache.
