How to configure IP address from subnet 172.16.99.0 with mask 255.255.255?

Hello. It is necessary to connect to the gsm - gateway via local network. The gateway address is 172.16.99.1. When connecting, it says that the page was not found. I read somewhere that you need to configure an ip address from the subnet 172.16.99.0 with a mask of 255.255.255. How can I do that?

well, so what's stopping you from setting ip and the mask 255.255.255.0 in the properties of the ipv4 protocol

If you need an address from a subnet, then specify any address from the range 172.16.99.2 - 172.16.99.254.
172.16.99.1 - gateway address (it's busy, don't choose it for your computer), specify this IP as "main gateway".
172.16.99.0 is the subnet address, 172.16.99.255 is the broadcast address.
This subnet 172.16.99.0/24 (mask 255.255.255.0) is limited.
This must be specified in the TCP / IP (v4) settings.

The question is why you need a connection: if you just need to go to it and configure it, just enter, say, 172.16.99.111 with a mask of 255.255.255.0 an additional IP address on the network, and then the Internet will remain at the same time, and the gateway will be available.
If you need to switch the Internet so that it comes from another device, in addition to the actions of the first paragraph, we also change the "main gateway" to 172.16.99.1
Of course, all this if the GSM gateway is physically connected to the same network where you you are now.
