How to configure exim4 to work with tags in addresses?

I wanted to slightly improve the interaction with my mail. Google has a chip with tags in addresses.

I would like to get this behavior: if there is a [email protected] mailbox , then letters sent to [email protected] should arrive in the some-folder folder in the Inbox folder in the [email protected] mailbox .

I looked a bit in the documentation for exim4 and there are, at first glance, all the possibilities to repeat this. You can set your own local_part_prefix, there are branches, mappings and forwarding.

But so far I have not been able to figure out how to make it work, and if it is even possible. Please tell me how this behavior can be implemented.

If this is not possible, are there alternatives? The most important thing is to be able not to create many mailboxes, but to manage with one.

It is customary to mail mail using an IMAP server (usually Dovecot). If you have it set up like this, it's easy to outsource this job to sieve.
Otherwise, if for some reason you are distributing mail directly to Exim, then there is no difficulty in distributing the local part using its configuration language.
