How to configure client dns name log in bind9?
There is an internal dns (bind9) that serves local network clients. He writes a log like client ip, client port, request, type of requested entry. IPs are distributed dynamically by the isc-dhcpd server. In its current form, the log does not suit me only because it is impossible to accurately identify the client. More precisely, it is possible, of course, by viewing the dhcp log with your hands. In principle, it is enough for me to modify the log in such a way that the bind writes the current dns-name of the client from the local zone there. tell me if there is such a possibility? Or maybe you can run some kind of callback when adding an entry to the log? Or maybe there are some tools that themselves can match the bind-log entry and the dhcp-log entry in time?
Or to hammer on this idea and to dig towards transparent squid? But as far as I understand, in transparent mode, the squid log will not be much more informative.
In general, share your opinions, please.
