How to collaborate on a project in Unity?

How can I run a project in Unity at the same time? I heard something about github, but I would like more details on how it works or a guide on how to set it up.

In the unit, as you may have noticed, the component system. The work on the project is divided into separate parts: levels, scripts, characters, plot. Then it's all connected.
Git is a little different, version control. In the first stages, you will have only one and only version - the current one.
