How to clean the system?

Tell me good free programs in order to put things in order in the Windows 7 system. There is some incomprehensible feeling of a mess, that is, if I had a disk with Windows, I would simply rearrange it, but this is too radical, and I have a disk no. For example, clean the registry, remove unnecessary shortcuts, etc.

There is some strange sense of chaos

So there are specific problems, or just some kind of itch in one place?
Any "cleaners" and "optimizers" are the first step towards massive glitches. Don't fix what isn't broken.
And no, on modern systems "registry clutter" and the presence of unnecessary shortcuts does not lead to a drop in performance or stability. But cleaning the "garbage" can easily cause problems.

I used ccleaner before - a free utility that cleans the disk and registry.

As already correctly noted, Windows does not need to be cleaned. It needs to be reinstalled, with clean install (with disk formatting).
This method is not "radical", but the only effective one. Any cleaning tools will bring more harm and glitches than they will "clean up".

JDima, rudy_fernandez:
Look for your spherical super-specialist-super-problem-finder-super-googler in a vacuum. Which in theory, by the power of his thoughts and knowledge, will be able to fix any glitch.
But in practice, not a single specialist, not a single program, nothing at all can improve the performance and reliability of the system in a couple of hours like reinstalling Windows.
It is clear that reinstalling Windu because the .avi movie does not open is stupid. But if “an incomprehensible feeling of a mess began to be present,” then you’ll at least burst it, but you won’t fix a damn thing in one day.
And say what you want, that in theory this and that, and knowledge can do this and that. In practice, you will not achieve anything in a couple of hours (required for a complete reinstallation). Maybe you will be at 25% of diagnosing the problem.

The best option is after installing all the necessary software and updates, make a backup of Windows even with built-in tools and then recover from it, but this is for the future.
And so, as already written, CCleaner is free; Wise Disk Cleaner, TuneUp, jv 16 from paid ones.

dustbuster - clears hard space from temp files. It can bang a couple of gigabytes of rubbish, I used it 100500 times at work, I didn’t delete too much :)
