How to choose a video card?
Good afternoon everyone.
The question arose, there is an old motherboard on which the 8600GTS video card was installed, after looking at its characteristics, I saw that it runs on DDR3 memory.
Question: how to choose the right video card for the motherboard so as not to go crazy.
those. if the mother supports DDR3, then you can safely buy any video on DDR3, or are there any other moments?

The video card runs on GDDR3 or GDDR5, not on DDR3. On DDR3, the built-in one, if any, works. The motherboard will support any vidyakha, if it now uses 8600.
To choose, you need to find out the parameters of the PSU and processor, and then wishes.
Memory costs a penny ... the manufacturer can put on a budget model 2giga. So this is not a criterion for choosing a video card.
Tell me why you are changing it.
