1. You measure how much RAM your bot eats up during active work, along with MySQL, and how much disk they both need approximately.
2. Find a VPS that can handle it. I would rather look at large providers that have been around for a long time, and where there is normal support. (These are all kinds of PaaS providers, such as Azure, AWS, Cloudflare, Scaleway, Yandex, MCS. And also all sorts of providers a little less, such as hatzner, beget, regru, etc.)
3. You throw money at the monitor.

On firstvds.ru for several years I have been keeping the minimum machine for ~ 200 rubles / month.
Enough for a small website on WordPress, a downloader, distribution of audiobooks to relatives in the form of mp3 and rss feeds, and, sometimes, I even raise a minecraft server on it for three children.
Everything runs in docker containers. He himself is shocked that it is also moving there and fits in memory.
I even hesitated, but no, really a gig of operatives.
In general, take the minimum car on KVM in trial mode, if everything starts up and fits, you will just pay, but if not, choose a more powerful car. You never know what your bot does there, maybe it processes pictures with a neural grid ...
There are several resources on the network that help you choose a VPS. I got it on the first try: https://poiskvps.ru/
