Hello. At work, I want to deploy a VPN server that includes visual statistics on users and the ability to limit bandwidth, which will serve up to 500 users and connect using the PPTP protocol. OS: Windows or Linux. I already checked Kerio Control (unlicensed), it worked for a week, then problems with connection and "ping" began, periodically disappeared from the network, after a reboot it worked again. I also set up a VPN on Windows Server 2012, everything works fine, but there are no statistics and logging. Here I would like to consult, which VPN server is better to deploy, so that later there would be no problems with it?

Looked into the Journal in Windows 2003, there is a connection log there.
It is not very clear what you are looking for - service, software or hardware.
