How to check user role in .Net Core?

I am doing access control in a web application, I created a role in the AspNetRoles table, and in the AspNetUserRoles table I created an entry stating that a user with such an ID has such a role ID. Created a restriction in the controller, but the user with the required role cannot gain access. How to check if a role has been applied?
