How to check selection in dropdown constantly (discord.py)?

Hello, I ran into a problem that you need to constantly check what the user clicked.
For example: the user has selected an item in the dropdown menu, then the bot performs an action and the user again has the opportunity to select an item from the menu.
But instead, the user chose 1 time for me, then the bot is idle

Addition: dropdown menu is a drop-down list with a choice, I also used the on_ready event (which most likely I can only choose 1 time)
