How to check if Grunt+Less is connected correctly?

I included Grunt.js and Less.js. Setting -done , without errors. Grunt created style.css in the right folder. I write code in style.less. When opening in chrome, there are a lot of errors right there that the loess does not work. I open it in Mozilla - everything is ok. But in style.css where the code should be 0kb.
Do I understand correctly that Grunt.js should automatically make css from less? Nothing but Less.js is included.
How can I check what I did wrong, if the error does not give anything?
