Hello. There was a situation when I needed to change the structure of links on my Wordpress site, and at the same time not lose access to articles.
At the moment, the link structure is as follows: site.ru/category/postname.html
It will change to this: site.ru/category/12345/
Wordpress settings:
Old - /%category%/%postname%.html
New - /%category% /%post_id%/
Q: I have over 400 posts. How to change the structure so that the old links remain working?

From sitemap.xml you take all your links (so as not to lose anything), copy all this into Excel. There, once you have written a 301 redirect for one link, do an auto-post by analogy.
There is also a plugin that adds a field when editing a page or post where you can enter a new address, but the first method is better.
