How to change the raid and then return everything back?

Good afternoon. There is a Dell PowerEdge R720 server on it 10th raid. I need to change the screws and reconfigure raid 10. Everything is clear here, but if I need to put the old screws back, will it be enough for me to put the old screws and also put the 10 raid? Is there a way to upload the settings? I'm not entirely sure how this is going to happen.

We usually see disks from arrays when everything is already bad and not working, but I would proceed as follows:

  1. Make a copy of all data from the currently installed disks, set it aside.
  2. Number the current disks and remove them from the server.
  3. Install new disks, configure everything and check if it works.
  4. Take out the new drives and install the old ones in the correct order.
  5. Without configuring anything again (so as not to initialize the disks), check whether the config will rise from them. There is a chance that everything will be fine.

If suddenly something does not work, then you have a copy of the data.
In addition, with this approach, just in case, consider the possibility of updating various hardware firmware from the point of view that such "seamlessness" of work may be broken if the update is large enough.

If you have a hardware controller, then for sure the information about the array is stored on the disks themselves, and as soon as you put them back everything will be determined
