How to change the author of a space or article in confluence not through Backup?

Hello.
We use Confluence 6.6.0
There was such a situation, over time, part of the team changes.
In Confluence, no longer active users are forced to remain, because. they were once the authors of spaces and articles.
How is it possible to correctly change the author not through backup ( found in the FAQ )?
