How to change Symfony2 directory structure?

It is necessary to move the contents of the web directory to the root of the site (on the same level as the app, src, bin ...etc directories)

If you have a problem with deployment, then just symlink the web directory to public_html
or wherever you need to do it. Changing the directory structure is a bad idea.

Do not change, change the virtual server settings / mappings / create symlinks as a last resort.
