How to change Node.js path?

How to change the path to the desired one .. Otherwise, the commands do not work.
Now this is
MBP-User:~ antonkudaev$ echo $PATH
/usr/local/bin:/usr/bin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/sbin

why change?
/usr/local/bin is quite a standard path.
you just need to make sure that each user using the node has it registered in PATH.
give an example of a non-working command and the context of its call.
