How to change Ionic version?

When trying to install an older version of ionic with the command: npm install [email protected] By default, version 4.10.3
is still installed

npm installwithout parameters puts the package in the current directory. I don't know anything about ionic, but judging by the screenshot, you need a cli utility, and they are installed with the -g/--global: parameter npm install [email protected] -g. (You may need to close and reopen the terminal window, but this is not accurate)
