How to change domain novell group wise?

Can anyone suggest or throw off a sensible link on the problem:
There is a mail server with a domain of the form org1.org2 and the need to obtain the form org1.org2.dom
Change in the properties leads to the crash of the mailer (failure of all addresses), and change and rebuild - to the crash of the account
