How to calculate a certain number from Pi?

Good day!
I saw this formula - RKlso.png
And judging by this article - this whole formula needs to be multiplied by 16 ^ n, where n is the ordinal number of the number we want to find.
But the problem is that I can't get this formula to work in any way. As soon as I didn’t try to multiply and twist-twist this formula, but I didn’t understand how to use it to calculate, say, the thousandth character from Pi. Help me to understand.
Thanks in advance!

You can’t just take and find a certain number from Pi.
Your series is the sum of all infinite terms, so to find the N-th digit, you need to calculate as many members of this sequence so that the last member is at least 100 times less than the required accuracy.
