How to boot Windows via grub?

in general, the problem is that there is no (does not work) disk drive on the laptop. It also fails to install from a flash drive. so I decided to pervert, took the screw out of the laptop and connected it to the PC where the drive works. everything seems to be in order, installed, launched - it works.
but when I stuck the disk back into the laptop, obviously, Windows did not appear in the list of downloads. update-grub did not help. Googled this method - Grub2 and Windows 7. Endless War - but the same problem occurs as the author (in the comments): instead of loading Windows, I see just a blinking "_" in the upper left corner. the author, obviously, somehow solved it, and I, being a rather low-level user, could not google the solution.
I ask for help.
