How to block internet on IPFire and allow custom whitelist?

Is it possible to block all internet traffic and allow a custom whitelist?
Can I still see the log and traffic by users?

As far as I remember, ipfire is a simple soft gate in terms of functionality, most likely the first one can be implemented through iptables, with ip binding to mac. The second is unlikely to be implemented on ipfire, you need to look for plugins.
It is better to look towards pfSense or some kind of Zentyal, or mikrotik routeos (more difficult to set up).
