In the article in the section about "How to become an information security specialist?"
there is good advice:
... get a job as a programmer in specialized companies such as Kaspersky or where your duties will be related to information security...

Start by answering the question - why am I going to IB. No, I'm not trolling (at the moment). IS is a huge, extremely multifaceted and not always pleasant area of work, in which the devil knows how many different directions, sub-directions and sub-sub-directions :D
How do you see yourself in IS:
- a coder who cracks viruses and restores files eaten by a cryptor?
- a network manager setting up network protection tools, scanners, early warning systems?
- SMP administrator, monitoring the work of employees? (yes, this is also part of the work of information security - and God forbid you do it!)
- a developer of documentation, regulations, instructions?
- a PKI admin responsible for corporate certificates?

And what, specialists in "national security" (!!!) are not taught to independently look for answers to their questions, at least on the Internet? And what are the "national security" experts not studying - including - what is "information security"? And what, specialists in "national security" are not taught to make decisions INDEPENDENTLY, and not to rely on the "help of the hall", which, moreover, is not clear who is filled with it? And what, experts in "national security" just broke to look through the "Information Security" section of the same forum, where there are half a dozen such questions a week?
It is impossible to become an information security specialist without being an information technology specialist. This is where you should start.

Go to work in your specialty, understand that 50-70% of the university must be forgotten, study on this specificity further at work
