How to become a Java/Kotlin backend junk?

Studied basic Java and kotlin.
I wrote on my own (not from video tutorials) an api application that returns the weather in the desired city using vertx (coroutines).
I understand that this is not enough, but I would like to further develop in this direction, and in the future it is possible to get a job.
The questions are simple - how to develop further? Where can I get normal quests? Is it possible to find a job without having any experience, but having a portfolio on github?

You look at the requirements in vacancies in the desired city and study the necessary technologies - this is a universal option.
Often this is some kind of spring and hibernate

Hello!
As a rule, more often for a junior, knowledge of such technologies, frameworks and libraries as:
Spring, Play, Hibernate, Elastic, JDBC, Jakarta EE, the basics of working with DBMS (postgres, mysql) is required. It will not be superfluous to know the basics of html, css, js, regex. Well, look at the requirements in the vacancies.
In terms of sources for learning, you can use: books, tutorials and courses. Courses and tutorials need to be carefully chosen, but be sure to rely on books.
Also, for additional experience, you can sign up for various labs and trainings.
